
A Norwegian mountaineer and former cross-country skier Kristin Harila, the and Tenjen Sherpa from Sankhuwasbha have successfully climbed Mt. K2 completing the "Fastest 14 Peaks" challenge in just 3 months and 1 day (92 days), breaking the record of 6 months 6 days of Nirmal Purja aka Nimsdai in climbing all 8000 m+ peaks.
Kristin and Tenjen scaled the world's second-highest peak at around 11:30 am Nepal time on July 27 becoming the fastest climbers to complete 14 peaks above 8,000 m. They have done it in three months. They have successfully conquered the Mt. K2 to keep world's record on their name. Kristin along with Tenjen started her ambitious 14 peaks project by climbing Mt Shishapangma on April 26.
