Annapurna Trekking

The Annapurna area is regarded as one of the most spectacular mountain regions in the world and is the second most popular destination for trekkers and climbers in Nepal.  The Annapurna trails offer a far greater variety than the Everest region in flora, fauna, and in the villages and terrain experienced. Here you will meet the Gurung and Magar people of Nepal and learn about their culture and traditions You can choose between relatively easy walks through the fertile foothills and terraced farmland or more demanding, high altitude treks, such as the classic Annapurna Circuit and Annapurna Sanctuary routes.  You can also ascend and climb peaks in the region, such as the spectacular Chula Peak climb.  Along the routes you will be treated to spectacular views of giants such as Annapurna I (8091 m), Mt. Fang (7647 m), Gangapurna (7454 m), Glacier Dome, Mt. Fishtail (6997 m), Annapurna South (7273 m).  Access to the main treks and routes is incredibly easy. The starting point for most treks is the delightful lakeside town of Pokhara, just a short drive from Kathmandu.
